The Orbital - The Electronic Journal of Chemistry is currently running a Special Issue entitled "Pollutants in the environment" in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the International Workshop of Pollutants in the Environment (1997- 2017).

 

Dr. Rivelino Cavalcante, (Universidade Federal do Ceará, UFC, Ceará, Brazil), Dra. Larissa Cunha (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Msc. Juliana Souza (UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Dra. Daniele Kasper (UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) are serving as Guest Editors for this issue.

 

This Special Issue will bring together scientific contributions dedicated to current studies in the field of environmental pollution, focusing mainly in legacy and emerging micropollutants, but open also to other pollutants and pollution aspects. Another important aspect of this commemoration issue is to create a clear link between the objective of the research presented and how it relates to environmental health and ultimately to human wellbeing.
